Art is a subjective experience. Speaking visually is one of the many ways a person can express themselves. A person can express themselves in numerous ways, but when it comes to visual arts, a wide plethora of history, criticism, praise, emotions, personal aesthetics, knowledge, wisdom and experience are drawn out of the viewer to help them draw their own conclusions about a piece of artwork.
This subjectivity allows a personal experience to erupt in their minds and, if even for a brief moment, take them to a different place. Images tapped out from deep within are brought to the surface for the viewer to experience once again. Visual art is whatever you want it to be for yourself.
To speak visually is to continue the human experience. Visual art draws upon imagery, cognitive recognition, illusion, symbolism, politics, love, hate, science, religion, past, present and future. Humanity would not exist without art. Art, life and death are the only constants. The entire span of humanity can expect these truths to exist through the thick and the thin, from the beginning of humanity until the eventual end of all things.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
